VfB Stuttgart coming to SA

2014-01-04 00:00

CAPE TOWN — German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart are heading to Cape Town to prepare for the second part of the German season, the club announced via their official website.

They will arrive in Cape Town on Tuesday for a nine-day training camp. Having spent the last three winter training camp periods in Turkey, the club opted to train in SA for the first time, where they will stay until January 16.

During their stay, VfB will play three friendly games — against SuperSport United (January 9), Dutch club PEC Zwolle (January 11) and Ajax Cape Town (January 14).

The venues for the games are yet to be announced.

VfB Stuttgart are currently 10th in the Bundesliga standings.
