Visit: consulting engineers’ leader

2008-05-07 00:00

President of the South African Association of Consulting Engineers (SAACE), Felix Fongoqa, recently addressed KZN consulting engineers at the organisation’s annual function in Durban. The address forms part of Fongoqa’s campaign across the country to highlight the profession’s contribution to the economy. He noted that although the sector has experienced significant growth, future growth may be hurt by the professional skills shortage in professional skills. In light of this crisis, the SAACE’s School of Consulting Engineering has undergone a major restructuring process in order to offer cost-effective training alternatives. With Fongoqa above are Peter Viljoen (SAACE KZN branch chairman, left) and Graham Pirie (SAACE CEO).
