Vodacom Cup: Sharks aim for final surge

2010-04-08 00:00

THE Sharks XV meet Eastern Province in a Vodacom Cup match in Port Elizabeth on Friday night, and a number of the Super 14 squad have been included.

The Sharks’ final league game is against the Pampas XV in Durban next Friday night. Victory in both games should secure the Sharks a top- two finish in the South Section and a home quarter-final. The Sharks are currently third but teams one and two, Western Province and Free State, meet this weekend.

With the Sharks’ Super 14 side having a bye this weekend, several reserves have been released.

Waylon Murray and Lwazi Mvovo have been named as wings, while Wiehahn Herbst and Craig Burden join captain Pat Cilliers in an exceptionally powerful front row. — S.R.
