Wallabies in-flight ‘abuse’

2014-10-02 00:00

CAPE TOWN - The Australian Rugby Union is investigating Kurtley Beale over an in-flight abuse claim during the Wallabies’ flight to South America.

According to Fox Sports Rugby, the ARU’s integrity unit is looking into an alleged episode of verbal abuse by Beale towards a member of the Wallabies management staff on the team’s flight from Johannesburg to Brazil.

The staff member subsequently decided to leave the tour and flew back to Australia yesterday.

The Wallabies are in Argentina preparing to play the Pumas in their final Rugby Championship Test in Mendoza on Sunday morning (12.40 am SA time).

Beale trained with the Australian team this week and is likely to play at the weekend, as the ARU will only complete its investigation after the team arrives home next week.
