∙ KZN Birdlife hosts a day/weekend outing to Umdoni Park on the South Coast. Mark Brown will give a presentation on Saturday evening and will be ringing birds in the coastal forest on the Sunday, and there will be a walk led by a local guide. Contact Sally at 072 119 4253 or sally@wessa.co.za

∙ Noon-4.30 pm. The Concert in the Park takes place at the Botanical Gardens. Tickets are R80 for adults, R70 for pensioners and R35 for children under 16 years. To book tickets and to order picnic baskets call Pearl at Parklane Super Spar at 033 342 3487. Breakfast is available at the park restaurant from 8.30 am until 11.30 am. Come in before 10’oclock and pay only R12 gate fee (please note you will have to pay to go to the concert at noon). To book at the restaurant phone 033 344 2207.
