Win tickets for Maritzburg Day

2011-09-29 00:00

WITH less than a week to go till the inaugural Maritzburg Day, presented by Castle Lager and East Coast Radio, tickets sales are booming.

That is the news from the organisers, Impi Concerts, who say ticket sales have been superb.

Said promoter Stu Berry, “We’re very happy with the response we’ve received to this new event concept, and the ticket sales prove that Maritzburgers are keen on supporting these initiatives.

The ticket sales trend has exceeded that of our Johnny Clegg and Mango Groove events, where we had 5 000 and 3 000 attendees respectively.”

Tickets cost R160 for people over 12 and R50 for children between eight and 12, and entrance is free for children under eight. Gates open at 11.30 am, and the live music starts at 12.30 pm.

“The experience at the gardens on the weekend will be great. Four hours of live music, six quality acts, a kids’ zone and an extensive flea market … it’s a great day out,” said Berry.

The Witness is giving away 10 double tickets. All you have to do is SMS “Witness Maritzburg Day” followed by your name and surname to 32697 and check tomorrow to see if you have won. SMS costs R1,50. The competition is not open to The Witness staff and their immediate families.
