Windhoek hosts Sharks XV

2011-03-04 00:00

THE Sharks XV, after having downed the ch ampion Blue Bulls 30-19 in the first round, travel to Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek to take on the Welwitschias in week two of the Vodacom Cup tomorrow.

The Namibians suffered a first-round, 47-12 loss to the EP Kings last week.

Sbura Sithole comes in for Mark Richards on the wing.

The loss of centres Adi Jacobs and Riaan Swanepoel to the Sharks — after getting some game time in last week’s match against the Blue Bulls — means a return for Howard Mnisi and Jerome Pretorius

Lambert Groenewald, fresh from his Super Rugby debut off the bench for the Sharks last week, returns to the side.

Highly-regarded prop Wiehahn Herbst, back from injury, replaces Dale Chadwick who has been called up as a replacement for Eugene van Staden in the Sharks touring squad.
