2011-05-19 00:00

Green is the buzz word at the annual Parklane Wine Festival which takes place this evening (Thursday, May 19) at Parklane SuperSpar at 6.30 pm. William Jonsson of Parklane Cellars shows off Vondeling Wines together with Bridget Johnsen of Vondeling Wine Estate, one of a growing number of wine estates working on biodiversity projects in their regions. Vondeling is a member of the Paardeberg Sustainability Initiative, an effort to preserve one of the world’s smallest, yet most important, biodiversity areas. The Parklane Wine Festival will showcase wines from over 100 estates. Tickets cost R85 per person. Contact Jonsson at 033 342 3487.
