Woman stabbed and raped in Masons Mill area

2011-06-20 00:00

WHILE South Africa celebrated Youth Day on June 16 last Thursday, a 31-year-old woman, was viciously raped while on duty at her place of employment.

The woman narrowly escaped death after being stabbed seven times in the neck, above the heart, chest, arms and temple with an Okapi pocket knife before being raped. The security guard was at her place of work in Palframan Road in the Masons Mill area on Thursday when the attack occurred.

Her rapist first demanded that she open the office. When she told him she did not have the keys, he allegedly dragged her to the toilet at the back of the premises where he raped her. She was hospitalised and released the next day. Anyone with information can contact Detective Constable Xolani Nzuza on 072 881 3738 or on the landline 033 387 9500.
