Woman’s family demand justice

2013-09-24 00:00

THE family of a 57-year-old woman butchered to death say they want her missing body parts to be found so they can be at peace.

Linda Nozi Gebashe is thought to have been murdered by her boyfriend Bongmusa Andile Ngcobo (26), who has been arrested.

Gebashe had been missing for the past two weeks. Her body was found on Thursday in bush near the house she was renting in the Edendale area.

Police Captain Musa Ntombela said Gebashe was found partially dressed and her hands and legs had been chopped off.

The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.

Shortly after the body was discovered, locals apprehended Ngcobo. He was assaulted before being handed over to the police.

Nikhi Gebashe said it was painful to identify his sister’s mutilated body.

“We want to see the law take its course. He [Ngcobo] must not get bail until the finalisation of this case,” he said.
