World Cup: SABC no-show today

2011-03-24 00:00

SABC has failed to secure the rights for all Cricket World Cup matches, which is why there is a lack of coverage of some of the games by the national broadcaster.

There are no rights to broadcast today’s crunch clash between co-hosts India and defending champions Australia, but the quarter-final clash between the Proteas and New Zealand tomorrow will be shown on SABC 3.

Saturday’s match between Sri Lanka an d England will also be televised, and the SABC said it is in talks about the broadcast of next week’s semi-finals and final.
