2012-06-02 00:00

KZN junior athlete Adam Lipshirtz will be going for victory in this morning’s 10 km AIMS National Youth Run in Durban, which is organised in partnership with the Comrades Marathon Association, Department of Sport and Recreation, and KZN Athletics.

The AIMS youth run event starts at 8.30 am at Hoy Park in Brickhill Road in Durban.

Lipshirtz (18) came second at the recent SA 10 km Championship in the junior category in 31:16. He will attempt to pull that down further to around 30:30 over the fast flat beachfront course.

Lipshirtz dropped his 3 000 m steeple chase time down to 8:54 in the SA Senior Track and Field championships in Port Elizabeth to compete in the World Junior championships in Barcelona next month.
