e.tv rocks fans in Maritzburg

2014-03-03 00:00

THOUSANDS of fans headed to the Edendale Mall on Saturday to catch a glimpse of, and maybe even get an autograph and a photograph from their favourite e.tv stars, during the channel’s 2014 Kasi Tour stopover in Pietermaritzburg.

Stars from popular soapies Scandal! and Rhythm City appeared alongside presenters from Club 808, Cyberlinks, the winners of Step Up Or Step Out 2013, and shows on the eKasi+ channel on OpenView HD and Craz-e.

On Friday, the stars enjoyed a relaxed dinner with the media at Rockafellas at the Golden Horse Casino, during which they enjoyed music by Pietermaritzburg singer-guitarist Bernard Davis, who was joined by Amo Chidi, who plays Reneilwe on Rhythm City and controversial actress/presenter Khanyi Mbau (of Katch it with Khanyi on eKasi+), for a few numbers.

The stars then headed off to the Scottsville casino’s Veritas Night Club for a party with fans.

On Saturday the focus was on Edendale Mall where fans got to take part in dance competitions and win prizes. Spokesperson Belinda Mashashane told The Witness the event had gone better than they had hoped and that the stars had thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Pietermaritzburg.
