Colin Farrell ensures decade-long sobriety by checking into rehab

Cape Town – Colin Farrell is taking every precaution to ensure he stays sober.

The Fantastic Beasts actor checked himself into rehab as a pre-emptive measure, E! News has confirmed.

“It was pre-emptive,” a source said. “He did it to reset his life. He's not using right now at all.”

According to Daily Mail, Colin checked into a The Meadows - an elite rehab centre in Arizona that has provided treatment to an array of celebs including Selena Gomez – this past week.

The Phone Booth actor celebrated 10 years of sobriety on The Ellen Show in May 2017.

Colin reportedly took the precautionary measure ahead of his 11th year after feeling overwhelmed by having completed three films back-to-back.

“He [Colin] was overwhelmed for the past year and the urges started to come back with being so busy at work and he felt, eventually, out of control and thought maybe he should get ahead of it before he starts using again,” a source told Daily Mail.
