Confession time! This is my secret Netflix obsession

Cape Town – If you ask me what my favourite TV show is I will probably tell you it is some fancy, high-rated new and expensive mega-show with the hottest A-list stars.

But I would be lying.

The truth is much more unglamorous than that. Most of the time my favourite TV show is some oddball random reality show I discovered by accident.

Now I’ve decided to share my rare findings in a weekly section titled ‘My Secret Netflix Obsession’.

Let me take you down the back alleys of Netflix into the deep and dark world of the most random shows you could possibly find on the online streaming site.

Every Wednesday I’ll share my secret new obsession. Check out the first one below!

SHOW: Outback Truckers

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT: In the Australian Outback when the going gets tough the tough drive trucks. Outback truckers drive the biggest trucks on Earth along the toughest roads and loneliest highways. Men and women behind the wheel of monster trucks on marathon runs battling fire, flood and lots of mud to make their deadlines and deliver their goods.

WHAT I THOUGHT: I’m obsessed with Aussie reality shows. (I'll tell you more about the others soon) The Outback is a dangerous place filled with adventure and that makes for thrilling TV. I also like getting a glimpse into the lives of different people and this show does exactly that. The truckers are interesting and entertaining characters and you quickly get to know them – making their adventures even more fun to watch. There’s also a lot of suspense and drama in the show. Real-life challenges that show just how dangerous Outback trucking is.

SHOULD YOU WATCH IT?: Hell yeah, mate! It's "trucking" good! (Sorry, not sorry.)
