Mandy Moore receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Cape Town - Actress and singer Mandy Moore got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. 

The 34-year-old was joined by her This is Us co-stars Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Sullivan.

Actor Shane West who starred alongside Mandy in the teen rom-com, A Walk to Remember spoke at the ceremony, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Shane gave Mandy a picture of the two of them when they met 17 years ago.

"I always knew you were incredibly talented and I always knew you were going to go on to do big things and amazing things, and you have… I couldn’t be more proud of you," he said in his speech. 

In her speech the This is Us star said she has a lot of "appreciation, fondness and respect for my young self."

"She is what brought me here to this moment today, 20 years later, with her own star on the Walk of Fame. I did not know it was possible to dream dreams this big."
