Vin Diesel grateful as filming kicks off for 'Fast & Furious 9'

Cape Town – Filming for the 9th instalment of Fast & the Furious has officially begun.

On Monday Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez was spotted filming scenes in the Hertfordshire countryside in England.

The 51-year-old who reprises his role as Dominic Toretto shared a video with his onscreen wife, Michelle who plays Letty.

He says: "Wow, wow, wow, wow. Can you believe it, Letty? Can you believe it?"

"We just completed our first day. It feels like a miracle. One hard-earned, but it feels like we’re just so grateful. We’re grateful to you, Universal. We’re grateful for our whole team. Incredible crew, incredible cast, and most importantly we’re so grateful to you, world, that has adopted this franchise."


Other cast members also shared in the first day excitement with Ludacris and Nathalie Emmanuel also sharing posts on social media.

Nathalie wrote on Twitter: "Day one of shooting Fast and Furious 9 today... The team is back together."

Ludacris shared a photo of the script on Instagram with the caption: "It's showtime."
