WATCH: Actress Mona Monyane shares video of her house on fire

Johannesburg – Former Muvhango actress Mona Monyane had fans in shock on Tuesday when she posted a video on Instagram of what she says is her house burning down.

The star shared the clip on the social media platform with the following caption: "20/10/2019… We watched our home burn down and all we could think was that God we all made it out alive. The devil may test you but God is greater than Any darkness. [sic]"

In another post, Mona shared a picture of the aftermath of the fire. While the shell of the house still stands, the roof is gone, and the actress says she lost something even more precious to the flames - the ashes of her second child, Amani-Amaza, who died tragically seven days after birth in 2017.

"I am in awe at the amount of loss I have experienced in my 29 years of life on this planet. Losing Amani's ashes in this fire from hell has got to be the greatest lesson of letting go I could ever have had to experience."

In 2018 the actress spoke out about the death of her Amani, thanking her husband, actor Khulu Skenjana, for sticking by her side.

"My love, we have seen life you and I shem?? YHU! The greatest part of this journey is the importance of sticking together, healing both individually and as a couple," she wrote in part.
