YouTube star Caspar Lee lands big movie role

Los Angeles - Caspar Lee is set to star in new film Diva

The 20-year-old vlogger - who boasts almost five million subscribers on his popular YouTube channel - has landed the role in the musical movie alongside Britain's Got Talent winner Susan Boyle, and filming for the £30m production in London has already begun.

Diva, which has been likened to the hit American series Glee, follows the trials and tribulations of a budding star's journey to fame.

In the forthcoming production Lee will play the role as the son of a West End performer whose own acting career is slowly falling apart, whilst Boyle has been cast as the singing lighthouse keeper.

Lee has recently taken to social media to tease behind-the-scene pictures of the set of him alongside his fellow cast members including his on-screen mother Stacey Jackson.

And the actor - who has allegedly received a large six-figure sum to star in the blockbuster - has revealed he has found the filming process and screen tests very daunting despite posting a number of entertaining clips of himself on social media.

Lee posted a photo on his Twitter account, which sees him holding a script whilst appearing to scream in front of the mirror, he wrote: "Screen testing is nerve racking (sic)."

He has since deleted the image.

It has also been reported fellow beauty blogger Zoella will make a cameo in the film.

However, the film's producers are yet to confirm the release date for 'Diva' although it is scheduled to hit the big screens in the Spring next year.
