Four people have died and 16 others injured in two different accident.

On Eiland road, a few kilometres outside Letsitele in Limpopo, a taxi rolled multiple times, leaving four people dead and six others injured. ER24 spokesperson, Christa Bodasing said paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found some patients lying on the road and on the side of the road close to the taxi.

“Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for four of the people. They had sustained multiple severe injuries. They were declared dead on the scene,” said Bodasig. She also added that the four injured people were treated on the scene before they were transported to the Letaba Hospital for further medical care.

In another accident, 10 people sustained injuries in a collision involving a taxi and a truck on the M13 in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal. ER24’s Pieter Rossouw said paramedics found the driver and the front page passenger trapped in the taxi and had to be removed from the trap by use of the jaws of life equipment.

All the injured were treated on the scene before they were transported to the King Edward Hospital, RK Khan Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital respectively for further treatment.
