Five men were arrested in Hillbrow for the hijacking of a truck with wine to the value of R9 million reported Sapa.

"It is alleged that the truck was from Cape Town to Johannesburg when it was hijacked by the suspects at Bethlehem, Free State," said SAPS spokeswoman Lt-Col Katlego Mogale to SAPA.

Police found the truck parked at a plot in Gelnvista, in Midrand. The hijackers " took [the truck]  to an open veld in Midrand where they were allegedly waiting for a buyer of the cargo, " said Mogale

The men are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court soon on charges of hijacking and possession of stolen goods.
