Six teenagers accused of killing three children in Mookgopong, Limpopo, appeared in the town's magistrate's court on Thursday, police said.

Brigadier Hangwane Mulaudzi said their case was postponed to January 17, for investigation.

The six, aged between 12 and 14, are accused of killing brothers Bafana Kekana, nine, Hosea Richard Kekana, 10, and their cousin Johanna Kekana, 12, in August.

They were stoned to death. Johanna was raped before she was killed.
