The R&B singer who died in a plane crash in 2001 will have a film made about her life and tragic death made. Seventeen year-old Disney star, Zendaya has been cast to play the role of Aaliyah int he biopic. Aaliyah's uncle and former manager, Barry Hankerson, told TMZ the family had not been consulted about the making of his niece's life story. Hankerson says the family will block any attempt by the filmmakers  to use any of Aaliyah's music.  He says the family has hired a lawyer and will do everything they can to block release of the film. He also said the family was not opposed to the making of a film about Aaliyah but felt that a TV movie would not do her legacy justice.
