At home with KG and Dineo Moeketsi

It takes just a few seconds for Radio 2000’s Kgomotso Moeketsi, known as KG to her listeners, to waltz down the stairs of her Tuscan-style Fourways home for the DRUM shoot.

She’s just been exercising, so she’s feeling energised and understandably proud of herself. “I’ve started jogging to keep fit,” explains the 41-year-old mother of two.

Meanwhile, her daughter, Dineo Moe-ketsi, whose showbiz career has gone big-time now she’s presenting both O-Access and V Entertainment, goes through the dresses for the shoot. It’s clear this 22-year-old has a good fashion sense.

“I like clothes but I’m particular about them. I don’t like frills and tassles,” she says, laughing.

But her mom is stressing about the outfits laid out for her. They’re different to what she normally wears, she says, and as a radio person she’s not used to shoots.

Dineo has no such problems. She slips into character as soon as the camera starts clicking and it’s only a matter of time before Kgomotso joins in the fun.

“I’m most comfortable behind the mic, with my jeans and cap on,” she says laughing. Yet seeing herself in perfectly fitting frocks changes her perspective – so much so that she buys one of the Pringle dresses, which looks as if it was made for her.
