Barbecue pork rib burgers

Do you enjoy juicy barbeque pork ribs? Do you enjoy a tasty burger? Then this recipe is perfect for you!

Makes 4

Preparation time: 10 min

Standing time: 1 hour

Cooking time: 45 min

1 kg deboned pork ribs

juice and zest of 1 orange

2 cloves garlic, crushed

5 cm piece of fresh ginger, grated

5 ml (1 t) mustard

salt and pepper

500 ml (2 c) barbecue sauce

125 ml (1 c) tomato sauce

60 ml (1Ž4 c) honey

45 m (3 T) Worcester sauce

1 Put the ribs in a bowl of salted boiling water to help to tenderise the meat.

2 Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Cut the ribs into four equal portions, add to the bowl and marinade for 1 hour.

3 Preheat oven to 180 °C.

4 Transfer the ribs to a greased and lined baking tray and cook for 45 minutes, basting the meat with the marinade every 15 minutes.

5 Serve the ribs on burger rolls with garnishes of your choice (such as lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins and/or onions) and crispy chips.
