Barbecued hamburgers

Makes: 8 patties

125 ml (½ c) breadcrumbs

1 onion, finely chopped

30 ml (2 T) brown sugar

60 ml (¼ c) barbecue sauce

1 egg

500 g minced meat

Preheat the grill.

In a mixing bowl combine the breadcrumbs, onion, brown sugar and barbecue sauce.

Add the egg and minced meat, and mix well.

Shape into 8 patties.

Place on a baking sheet and grill in the oven for 20 minutes or until cooked.

Serve on hamburger rolls with onions, fresh chilli, gherkins, tomato, lettuce and potatoes.
