Women, be warned: if you drink beer regularly, you’re increasing your risk of developing psoriasis, an autoimmune disorder affecting the skin.

This is according to new findings from Harvard Medical School.

Researchers found that even moderate quantities of beer seemed to raise the risk, with 2,3 drinks a week driving up the risk almost 80 per cent.

They warn women who like to drink alcohol and have a family history of psoriasis to choose a different alcoholic beverage.
