The single, titled Das’ True and produced by Zooci Coke and AirDee, is just a taste of more to come.

“I want to be known as the hardest-working man in the music business. I want to end this year being an award-winning artist,” K2 says. He’s currently in studio cooking up an EP, which will be followed by a mixtape. He promises to release his debut album soon.

K2 has been writing his own music since a very young age. Inspired by the likes of Eminem, Jay Z and Lil Wayne, he says he also like the transformation that Khuli Chana and AKA brought to the hip hop scene in Mzansi.

“I believe they played a big role in getting local hip hop to where it is right,” he says.

Last year, K2 dropped another single, Lepara, which helped him to share a stage with a lot of well-known artists in the country. He has performed at the Spring Fiesta, H20 and iRock festivals, and Maftown Heights, to name just a few.
