American stand-up comedian, actor, and author Bill Cosby will face an aggravated indecent assault charge.

According to The Guardian, Pennsylvania prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for allegedly assaulting a woman sexually in January 2004.

Andrea Constand, a former employee at Temple University said that Cosby allegedly drugged and violated her but a district attorney declined to press charges in 2005.

This is Cosby’s first criminal charge for his conduct against women, but more than 50 women have lately come forward accusing the comedian of sexual assault or misconduct.

A week ago Cosby filed a lawsuit against supermodel Beverly Johnson for defamation, over her alleged claim that the comedian drugged and attempted to sexually assault her in the 1980s.
