Brickz’s lawyer told the court today that his client is willing to pay an amount of R2000 for his bail.

In his closing argument, defence lawyer Mokgobi argued that Kwaito singer Brickz was self-employed citizen and he should be granted bail so he can make a living.

He added that he can pay R2000 bail thought he is willing accept any amount imposed on him by the court.

Mokgobi also pointed at the fact that although Brickz isn't married, he has two children he has to support outside.

Magistrate Kotze has reserved his judgement on Brickz's bail hearing for tomorrow.

Brickz remains in custody.

Brickz, whose real name is Sipho Charles Ndlovu, has been in custody since November 1, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in March.

In an affidavit submitted as part of his bail application, Ndlovu denied raping her and indicated he intended to plead not guilty.
