Brickz is dead broke!

Sipho “Brickz” Ndlovu’s life lies in ruins following shocking accusations that he repeatedly raped his 16-year-old niece in March 2013.

ONCE HE  WAS a stand-up guy who’d made it big in the South African music industry, a  providing father, brother and uncle. He was a role model to his sons and an inspiration to kwaito musicians, a rose that bloomed from concrete - proof that one can make it out of the ghetto poverty cycle.

But A dark cloud is hanging over his head while he’s out on R50 000 bail, anxiously awaiting the start of his trial.

But that’s not the only thing troubling him: the lives of the people he holds dear are crumbling along with his, especially those of his family and, most importantly, his seven-year-old son, Gugulethu.

Speaking to DRUM, Gugulethu’s mother Lindi Nkosi tells us how trouble has plagued her son’s life since his father was accused of rape in November last year. “It has affected our son a lot,” she says. “He’s having a hard time at school and is not coping at all. Last month his school called us in, and the teachers complained that he’s beating other children, especially girls.”
