Kaizer Chiefs to play against ASEC Mimosa in their CAF Confederations Cup playoff second leg in Ivory Coast.

Kaizer Chiefs left for the Ivory Coast on Friday in preparation for the CAF Confederations Cup playoff second leg against ASEC Mimosa. The reigning PSL champions will go into the tie as underdogs after losing the first leg 2-1 in Soweto last week. According to the club's official website, striker, Matthew Rusike suggests that the Amakhosi will leave nothing to chance as they go in search of two vital away goals.

"It's in us to look to win every game we play," he said.

"Travelling to Ivory Coast is going to be difficult to turn the tables chasing a 1-goal deficit and the 2 away goals they scored.

"It is going to be tough but we have a good enough team to win the game,"

Rusike admitted that they were sloppy in the first leg, after captain ASEC captain Eurand Zagbayou opened the score in the 36th minute.

"Their first goal was a mistake that can happen in any game.

"But their second goal was loss of concentration on our side.

"We will go to them to with nothing to lose and we will be attacking all the way,"

In the first Leg, the Amakhosi appeared to have salvaged a draw when Rusike equalised in the 87th minute, however,

"I'm pleased with the goal I scored.

"It is the same feeling every time one gets onto the scoresheet.

"I'm not necessarily going there with a goal in mind, what comes first is getting to play well.

"It doesn't matter who scores on the day as long as we win the game."

Kickoff at the 45 000-seater Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny is at 15:30, nicknamed "le Félicia", named after the first president of the country, and is located in the commune of Le Plateau.
