Cape Town Jazz Fest line beefed up

This year’s 15th Cape Town International Jazz festival will feature a star studded line up.

Jazz legend, Abdullah Ibrahim has been announced to be part of the line up.

Saxophonist Kirk Whalum also returns for the second year to the festival. Added to this year's line up is S R&B songbird Lalah Hathaway and Senegalese singer Moh Dediouf.

On the local front, Kyle Shepherd will collaborate with Bokani Dyer, while Andile Yenana, Marcus Wyatt, Mthunzi Mvubu, Janus van der Merwe, Thembinkosi Mavimbela, Ayanda Sikade and Siya Makuzeni will play as The Blue Note Tribute Orkestra to commemorate the legendary 1960s South African jazz sestet.

Hip hop and house favourites Mi Casa, AKA and Da Les to complete this year’s Cape Town International Jazz Festival line-up.

It was announced last year that artist Erykah Badu will be headlining the festival.

The festival will takes place on March 28 and 29 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
