Mailing a hand-written card to a potential employer or dinner party host is still one of the best ways to leave a good impression.

Stay grateful 

Be grateful when things are good and be stay hopeful when things aren't going great.

Trust yourself

You know yourself and what you need best. Explore your options and trust your instincts.

Stay professional

Invest in your relationships with your colleagues. You never know when you might cross paths again in business.

Be confident

Confidence in yourself will make others notice you. Don’t have the confidence? “Fake it ‘til you make it,” as they say.

Surround yourself with people who nurture you and encourage you

This is true in both your professional and personal life, energy is contagious so be careful of your company.

Be generous with yourself

Look after yourself and treat yourself as often as you can to stay motivated.

Understand that job interviews are a two-way street

The company needs you as much as you need them. Be interested in how the company will contribute to your career growth.
