“I hope people love this phone as much as I do"- Cassper.

2016 continues to get better for Phumakim rapper Cassper Nyovest. While people are still talking about his new property, his new Bentley and Rolex, Cassper in conjunction with MTN and AG Mobile has his own new phone on the market, called Hashtag.

The phone idea was conceptualized late last year while Cassper was preparing for #FillUpTheDome. “When AG mobile and I spoke I knew I wanted to create the type of phone that I myself would use. And that’s exactly what I did”, Cassper explained. And on why he named the phone Hashtag, Cassper said it’s because of his love for social media. “I am addicted to social media, so that name seemed fitting”, he said. His target is to sell 10 000 units of the phone in its first month and he says he will push it on social media. “I hope people love this phone as much as I do,” Cassper added.

While he has been getting criticism for posting his car, house and Bentley on social media Cassper says he does care what hatters say. “If you cannot appreciate a young black man who came from nothing to driving and owning Bentley, then you have a problem,” he said. Cassper leaves later tonight to perform in his first ever US gig at Stanford University where students there voted him as one of the African acts they would like to perform for them. Cassper will also give a talk at Stanford. “Imagine me a dropout giving a speech at a varsity,” he ended. The phone retails for R3499.
