Constable arrested for shoplifting, again…

A Krugersdorp constable is due to appear in court after being arrested by local police for shoplifting again.

Krugersdorp News reported that she was arrested for the second time on Tuesday, the 8th of September in Randfontein.

She allegedly tried to steal medication from a Randfontein Shoprite’s pharmaceutical department.

In a statement, SAPS lashed out at the conduct of police which compromises their reputation.

“A 29-year-old constable stationed at Krugersdorp was released on bail and will appear in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court today facing charges of shoplifting. The management will not tolerate these conducts as it hinders the reputation of the SAPS,” SAPS Provincial Spokesperson,Captain Doniah Mothutsane said.

Out on bail, the constable has is due to reappear in court on 25 September for the first shoplifting incident.
