A 26-year-old woman went missing from Aggeneys in the Northern Cape on Wednesday 13 January.

Luncinda Balie was last seen boarding a taxi from Aggeneys to Springbok to buy books and a school uniform for her child. It’s alleged that she experienced financial problems and did not have money to board a taxi back home so she decided to hitchhike instead.

According to her mother, Balie called to tell them she got a lift home and that was the last time they heard from her.

During the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black T-shirt with blue jeans. She is 1,6 metres tall, with dark hair and is light in complexion.

The SAPS is pleading for any information that will lead to finding her and reuniting her with her family.
