Curfew imposed after 147 people die in Kenya

An attack at a Kenyan University on Thursday morning has introduced new safety precautions

An attack at a Kenyan University saw 147 people die and 80 injured when suspected terrorists ambushed the campus on Thursday morning.

eNCA reports that four armed men stormed into Garissa University College and took non-Muslim students who were housed in hostels hostage in their pre-dawn attack. Extremist militant group Al-Shabaab has taken responsibility for the violent incident. All four gunmen were killed in a 15-hour gunfire exchange with the police. Kenyan authorities are reportedly offering a $200,000 reward for anyone that can come forward with any information.

In order to curb another violent attacks, Kenyan authorities have imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on four regions near the Somali border.
