The idea seemingly turns Bobbi’s funeral into a “school prom party”.

Dionne Warwick is reportedly threatening to boycott Bobbi Kristina's 'sweet 16-themed' funeral because she is offended by the idea which seemingly turns Bobbi’s funeral into a “school prom party”, reported The Mirror.

It is reported that the idea is being enforced by her aunt, Pat Houston.

A source told MailOnline: ''Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral because Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby [Brown, Bobbi's father] and not doing it on her own.''

Bobbi Kristina’s funeral will be on Saturday at a ceremony in Alpharetta, Georgia at St. James United Methodist Church, the report said.

Bobbi died at a hospice last weekend after several months in a coma and her family are now planning to pay their respects to her with a funeral on Saturday, 01 August, before her body is flown to New Jersey to be buried alongside her mother.

Paying her tribute to Bobbi, the 74-year old Dionne said of the aspiring singer and actress: ''She was a sweetheart, she will be missed, she was a good girl. ''It's not easy. It's [manageable] because of our faith that Bobbi is with a much bigger and more powerful person, or thing, that she's in much better hands now.''

A family member reportedly said: ''He [Bobby] is holding it together more than you'd expect. He knew it was coming. Of course he's very emotional, but at the same time, he knows that Krissy is in a better place now.

''He is taking comfort in the fact that she's with her mother, and that there will be no more sadness or pain. She is at peace. He knows that, and is taking comfort in that.''
