EFF's Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has opened a racketeering and fraud cases against Mabala Noise Entertainment boss, Reggie Nkabinde.

According to Sowetan, Ndlozi said that the probe would extend to all of Reggie's companies, not just Mabala Noise Entertainment.

"We have indeed opened a case against Reggie of the (ANC) Youth League," said Ndlozi.

The stable is home to Zola, Ricky Rick, DJ Bongz, Nasty C, Gigi LaMayne and Khanyi Mbau, to name a few.

The spotlight came on the label when EFF leader Julius Malema claimed that the label was a ANCYL front, having had given its recent signees R5million each. Reggie and company came out to deny all accusations made against them.

Khanyi Mbau did confirm that although the money they received was not R5million, it is lucrative.

Though the case was initially opened at a police station in Douglasdale, the case was transferred to the Hawks two days ago.

Hawks spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed they are already on top of the case. "The case was handed over to us yesterday (Wednesday) and our investigators from the Commercial Crime Unit are on top of it, there is a lot that we need to look at before we can inform the person who is being implicated," Mulaudzi said.
