Emtee full of hope for Metro FM Awards

First-time Metro FM Music Award nominee Emtee says he looks forward to proving his critics wrong at the award ceremony this weekend's, happening in Durban at the ICC.

“People told me that I was a one-hit wonder when I released Roll Up and they said that I was going nowhere," says the 23-year-old

Ahead of the awards, however, Emtee is nominated in four categories. He says just being nominated is awesome, but he'd also like to win.

"I would like to take best album. In fact I would like to win in all the categories that I'm nominated in," the Pearl Thusi hit-maker tells us from his studio, where’s he rehearsing for his performance at the ceremony.

"I was nervous at first, but now I'm fine – I'm excited about my performance," the former choral singer says.
