They also showed the first episode of Ashes to Ashes season 2.

Actress Tina Jaxa had the audience in stitches with her catchy jokes as MC of the event, and outgoing head of channels at e.tv Monde Twala expressed his pride at the growth and success of the two soapies.

“I’m very proud of the growth of Scandal! and Rhythm City. Can you believe that Rhythm City is eight years old this year, while Scandal! is 11 years old? It’s a huge achievement for us as a channel,” he said.

He also touched on new and upcoming dramas that the channel will introduce later this year. “There’s a lot to come, there’s a religious drama and a political drama, but I won’t say much about them for now,” Monde told the audience.
