Ex-Protea coach sues Cricket Australia for racial discrimination

South African born Mickey Arthur, Australia’s first foreign head coach, is taking Cricket Australia to court for what he deems racial discrimination.

Arthur sues the organisation to the tune of $4 million in compensation or his job back from Cricket Australia.

Arthur claims he was discriminated against because he was from South Africa and did not understand the Australian way.

But CA says something else because “he failed to turn around declining standards of discipline in the team.”

“We’re disappointed it has come to this position, but Cricket Australia is confident in its position on this matter and I’m sure it will get resolved in an appropriate fashion,” CA lawyer Dean Kino told Seven, a television station.
