Paramedics were unable to remove the tin after the woman caught her index finger in its lid.

Fire fighters have rescued a woman from a tin of baked beans.

The woman trapped her hand in the can and called paramedics to the scene at around 8pm on Saturday night (15.02.14) but they failed to help her.

Unable to prise the metal off her finger, they then drove the woman to Shipley Fire Station in West Yorkshire in north-east England for help.

Fire fighters were then able to free the woman's index finger - which had become trapped between the lid and the can - with help from a pair of tin snips.
