That boy is not worth crying over for weeks on end- Pearl Modiade

Pearl is my second name, my first name is Nthabiseng.

I’m rooting for Jonathan Boyton-Lee to win Strictly Come Dancing! I can see he is really trying hard and of course those abs are a pleasure to see every now and then.

I’m not a model. I’m an actress, TV host and TV Producer. I am loving hosting Zaziwa right now and have faith that it will be around for a long time.

I’m very pedantic when it comes to my work and the people I work with might read this as controlling and bossy, which I don’t mind as long as the work gets done.

The last sms I sent was a message to my business partner Akhumzi. We were confirming a meeting date and time.

Three things I would tell a younger me are;

-That boy is not worth crying over for weeks on end.

-Its okay to not care about being cool

-Life is not as bad as it seems, relax…

If I was asked to choose between a Kota and Skop, I would choose... This is so hard.. I love both!! Please can I choose both? I used to buy ikota every day after school because I loved it so much, to this day it’s what I have when I visit home. And it has to have atchaar in it

I love iskop as well, every part of it tastes different and Iove that about it. Iskop with chilli, yes please!

I can’t live without love in my life. I love fearlessly and wholeheartedly!

I am currently playing Thandiswa Mazwai – Zabalaza. I love Thandiswa’s music. It reminds me of my late mother so much. We never listened to Thandiswa together, but somehow the album brings memories of my mom. I guess it connects me to home…it’s very spiritual.

Anything by Sean Paul gets me dancing. I love Reggae.

The best advice I have ever received is not exactly something that someone said, but I come across different quotes on a daily basis and one that continues to echo in my heart is a quote by Steve Jobs ‘’ Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your inner voice’’. Someone will always have an opinion about you/your decision, or anything, what matters most should be what you believe in, what feels right for you, what strongly speaks to your being and what your inner voice is silently whispering to you.
