Five talented musicians who left the world ahead of their time!

Notorious B.I.G. also known as Biggie Smalls, he is considered to be one of the greatest rappers of all time. He was gunned down in L.A. in 1997 at the age of 24, and despite much publicity and controversy, his murder became a cold case.

Tupac Shakur also known as 2Pac, he became renown as a legendary rap artist after selling over 75 million albums, and was ranked the #2 Greatest MC of All Time by MTV. He was one of the more notable participants of the 90's East Coast – West Coast hip hop rivalry and many believe it cost him his life. He was killed at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting after watching a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas, Nevada.


Bob Marley, born Nesta Robert Marley, he became known as the Ambassador of Third World for his music, and sold over 75 million reggae albums worldwide. He died of cancer at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, Florida at the age of 36.

Lisa Lopes, rapper, dancer, and singer who was a member of the hip-hop group TLC. She died in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras at the age of 30 in 2002.

Aaliyah, R&B singer who gained attention for her debut album, Age Ain't Nothing but a Number, which sold three million copies in the U.S. and was certified double-Platinum. Her career was cut short after she died in a plane crash in the Bahamas at the age of 22 in 2001.
