He’s kept a low profile for a while. That’s because hip-hop artist Selwyn Ngwenya, popularly known as Mr Selwyn, is busy spreading the word of the Lord.

“I am not ordained as a pastor but I am functioning as one because of what I have been taught,” he says.

And when people started calling him “Pastor Selwyn”, he lived up to the name.

“I am a people person, so when people started calling me that. I embraced it. I like activating positivity within people and bringing out the best in them. I teach leadership and the dynamics of leadership as well as taking control of one’s life,” Mr Selwyn says about the work he does with the youth and adults in their late 30s.

Some of the projects he’s involved with include Hip Hop Empowerment Legacy Project (H.E.L.P.) and Destiny Incubator Pioneers (D.I.P.).
