Popular KZN radio station Gagasi FM was in Newcastle this weekend for their monthly weekend takeover.

"We rotate the places we host the takeovers each month-end to allow us to engage with our listeners. The reason for this is also to enhance our brand presence and visibilty," explained Ziphele Ndokweni the station's marketing manager.

The weekend included a nightlife chill session, a collaboration with star Ilvovo who had his homecoming concert at the Amajuba College Stadium, Emadadeni as well the popular Gagasi FM Shisanyama Sunday. Legendary kwaito artist Zola was one of the headling acts for Ilvovo's concerts said he loved performing in Newcastle, "I loved this weekend, getting to connect with my fans as usual. It makes my blood rush."

Easy to love singer Bucie stole the show at the stadium with fans bombarding her with shouts and posing with her through the fence after her performance.

The next Gagasi FM weekend takeover takes place in Durban before they head out again to their next space in the province.
