Over 10 million viewers watched Generations the legacy

Despite some negative comments on social media following the return of Generations the legacy, the show was the most watched over the last two nights. The show even broke its own viewership records attracting an impressive 10 million and higher viewers on its premiere night.

Speaking to Sowetan SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago said , "The premiere of Generations: The Legacy went well and it received plenty of viewers as we were told that over10 million people were watching. This has never happened before. The highest it averaged before this was 8.6 million."

On people's mixed feelings about the new story line and format of the show, Kganyago said people should give the show a chance and not judge it by the first episodes.

“People cannot comment now as this was just an introduction. They must watch this space.

“Commenting now will be like reading the first page of a book and then trying to tell people about the storyline,” Kganyago told the Sowetan.
