Getting her groove back

After being in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, it seems actress Sonia Sedibe is back on track and ready to live her life again

You could say she’s been to hell and back, with more than her fair share of bad publicity.

There was the divorce, allegations that she was dating a married man, and her former helper accused her of beating her up. Then she suffered a stroke and it was said she was broke and had moved back into her parents’ home in Alberton.

Now it looks like the storm is over and blue skies are finally returning for actress Sonia Sedibe.

Late last year, the 39-year-old small screen star made a comeback playing the role of Thuli Gumede in the drama, Gold Diggers. This was after a four-year sabbatical from the spotlight.

But she’s probably best known for playing her former character Ntombi, in Generations, and now it seems she’s setting her sights higher and higher.
